The International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) certified Dr. Jinich as an EFT therapist in 2006, an EFT Supervisor in 2010, and an EFT Trainer in 2013. Consultation is offered to therapists on both an ongoing basis and for single appointments to assist with clinical issues. Individual and group consultation is based on the therapist’s video or audio recordings, case presentations and role-playing. Consultation can be applied toward EFT certification as an EFT therapist.

Dr. Jinich provides consultation to licensed therapists in person, by email or telephone and via Skype. You can send me audio or video recordings of couple’s therapy sessions by mail or through the internet via secure file share programs such as “Pando” (www.pando.com). For therapists that wish to receive live consultation during their sessions, Dr. Jinich provides “bug-in-the-ear” Supervision using Skype and blue-tooth cell phone earpiece to help therapists during their sessions with couples.

If you have been looking for a way to deepen your work with couples, consider getting consultation in Emotionally Focused Therapy.  Your work with couples will focus on the creation of interactions that address deep, primary human needs and that promote a felt sense of being safe, held, understood, cared about, comforted, and loved.

Consultation focuses on understanding the Steps and Stages in more depth, strengthening Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy skills, practicing the EFT stance, and presenting and discussing cases.  These hours will count towards EFT certification and can be completed in the context of several different formats:

EFT Group Supervision:

Maximum of three people per group

Meet weekly, every other week, or monthly in my SF office

One-On-One Supervision:

Meet in person for 50 or 90 minutes
I can also "meet" and watch your tapes via Skype.

(Contact me for available times)
Videotape Supervision:
Whether you are perfecting your EFT therapeutic skills or are in the process of preparing a tape for your EFT certification application,
have the videotaped sessions of your work reviewed by an EFT Supervisor and Trainer.
Easily and privately deliver your digital video using online services such as DropBox or Pando.
Live Supervision:

In a set-up where you point your computer webcam towards you or your therapy couple

and use Skype and a cell phone blue-tooth device,

I can provide you with live supervision and guidance.

(Scheduling this, working out technical issues and getting necessary consents take a little effort
but it works very well and is a great way to learn EFT in action. Two-hours minimum is required to have a 30 minute discussion before and after the session).
Consultation is provided in either English or Spanish.
